Microneedling

If you choose microneedling at Este Medical you will need to set aside roughly an hour for your treatment. When you arrive we will cleanse and prep your face and apply a topical anaesthetic to the treatment area. You will need to wait 30 minutes for this to take effect.

After the wait time we will roll a small barrel-like roller that is covered in countless tiny micro needles over your skin. These little needles create tiny punctures to your skin and this, in turn, sends a message to your skin that it needs to up its production of collagen and elastin to repair and heal itself.

You won’t need to take any time off work or your regular routine to recover, but your skin may look a bit redder than usual for up to 24 hours after your procedure. This will gradually fade.

Everyone’s pain thresholds are different, but we believe this treatment to be minimal in terms of discomfort. We apply a topical anaesthetic before your procedure to assist with this. Microneedling doesn’t make you bleed but after your session, your skin may look red or appear ‘sunburned’. This will fade.
