How Does it Work?

What are the risks?
Some patients may experience lumps, a discolouration of the skin, or a numbness in the treated area. If any of these problems occur, a secondary operation will be necessary. More serious complications include blood clots, infection, loss of fluid, accumulation of fluids in the lungs, or an overdose of the anaesthesia. These complications are very rare though.
Will I gain the weight back?
Generally, no. The removal of the fat cells mean you will not gain back the weight in the area, as there are simply fewer fat cells in the area, where fat can be stored. Of course there is no procedure that entirely stops a person gaining weight in the future however.
How long is recovery?
It takes two to four weeks to make a full recovery. All the steps will be discussed in advance of your surgery.
